Costume Designer, Jennifer Starzyk, is a creative collaborator with twenty five years of film experience. Her versatile, yet distinct style has been showcased across a variety of genres and periods. Perhaps best known for the Netflix series, Mindhunter, where she worked closely with renowned director David Fincher, to create a restrained period look for the late 1970’s psychological thriller.

Her range varies in tone to serve the story and support the performance. As seen in the Warner Bros Neo-Noir Reminiscence, directed by Lisa Joy; starring Hugh Jackman, Rebecca Ferguson and Thandiwe Newton. To the outlandish colorful contemporary Bill & Ted Face The Music. Where there was a mix of historical and zany contemporary with the return of beloved characters played by Keanu Reeves and Alex Winter. As well as allowing documentary footage to inform how to dress Colin Firth and Toni Colette in Aughts for the HBO Max limited series, The Staircase.

Coming this December is the A24 Feature Film written and directed by Sean Durkin, THE IRON CLAW. Vibrant yet heartbreaking, this film tells the story of the wrestling dynasty family of the Von Erich’s. It spans 1979-1992 and is rich in wrestling costumes and looks of rural Texas in the 80s.

Jennifer recently completed designing costumes for the Amazon feature film KILLER HEAT, directed by Philippe Lacote. This contemporary thriller stars Joseph Gordon Levitt, Shailene Woodley and Richard Madden. Based on the Jo Nesbo novel, The Jealousy Man, it was filmed on the beautiful island of Crete, Greece.

Recently, Jennifer lent her energy and talent to help costume The Groundlings charity musical fundraiser, One Night Only. They cast included Saturday Night Live almuni and helped raise over $200,000 for The Motion Picture & Television Fund.
